Scale Overview

The Escali® Pana* is a digital electronic kitchen scale with special features making it ideal for measuring dry ingredients by volume. The scale has an 6.6 pound/3 Kg capacity, high accuracy, dual mode English/metric weighing, automatic tare weighing and a large, easy to read digital display with a number of special display modes for easy use.

Ideal for home kitchen use - particularly for avid bakers - the Pana scale has features that will make it a valuable addition to your kitchen appliances.

Features of the Pana scale include:

• Easy to Read - LCD digital display with large digits for easy reading.

• High accuracy - the all solid state measuring system is accurate across the scale's entire measuring range of 6.6 pound/3 Kg in increments of 0.1 oz / 1 g.

• Dual mode - the scale switches between pound and kilogram mode at the push of a button.

• Choice of display units - the scale allows you to display pounds/ounces, ounces, cups, tablespoons or grams.

• Measure by volume - the scale allows you to accurately measure dry ingredients by volume. You first put the scale in "volume" mode then select the ingredient you are going to measure - flour, sugar, salt, etc.  Then, as you slowly add that ingredient to the scale the display will automatically display the volume of the ingredient in commonly used increments (1/8, 1/4, 1/3, etc. cups; 1/2, 1, 1-1/2, etc. tablespoons). The scale includes a list of 99 different dry ingredients that can be measured by volume.

• Tare function - the tare function makes it easy to use the scale with any weighing bowl or container. Just weight the bowl empty, add your ingredients and the scale will automatically subtract the bowl's weight from the total to give you the weight of just the contents.

• Removable weighing platform - the scale's stainless steel weighing platform can be removed for easy cleaning.

• Battery power - the scale will operate for thousands of weighings on one 9V battery (included). Automatic shut off for long battery life. Low battery indicator. An A/C adapter is also available (not included)
