One of the problems often encountered when using higher capacity scales is to make sure the person being weighed can easily and safely get on and off of the scale weighing platform. This can be a particular problem when weighing larger patients on platform scales with small weighing platforms. Medical grade bariatric platform scales have large weighing platforms and built in handrails but they are very expensive. The ScaleRail™ provides a high quality handrail solution that works with all platform and many column scales at a fraction of the cost.

Based upon an extra wide high capacity all aluminum frame with steel and brass fittings, ScaleRails™ are adjustable, have large rubber feet for good traction and are lab tested to support a load of 500 pounds. Their comfortable contoured foam handgrips provide a steady grip for comfortable use - just the thing for helping the person being weighed to smoothly get on and off the weighing platform. While originally developed for use in weighing larger patients, the ScaleRail™ is also excellent for infirm or unsteady patients of any size or age who have difficulty getting on or standing on the scale weighing platform.

The ScaleRail™ is height adjustable using push button adjusters; locking rings make sure they stay set at the length you select. It folds easily to a slim 4-1/2" for easy transport or storage when not in use.
