The Detecto® Model 6550* is an 800 pound/360Kg capacity digital electronic wheelchair scale from the Detecto® family of bariatric scales.

Ideal for clinical office or weight loss center use, the Model 6550 features a highly accurate electronic weighing mechanism for years of reliable measurements.  This is a full capability, very high capacity bariatric scale with a large 30" x 32" weighing platform, built in BMI function and a special hold/tare function to make it easy to weigh patients with mobility assistance devices. Great for schools, clinics or health clubs, this scale is built to industrial specifications for years of reliable use.

The Model 6550 scale's features include:

• Easy to Read - the scale features the Detecto® 758 keypad/display module with LCD display, On/Off and Lb/Kg controls. • High accuracy - the all solid state electronic measuring system is accurate across the full measuring range up to 800 pounds/360 Kg.  The digital display shows  weight in increments of 0.2 pound or 100 g.

• State of the art connectivity - the scale has an RS-232C serial interface port for connection to computer based electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

• Large weighing platform - the 30" x 32" weighing platform is very low profile making it easy for roll on wheelchair access and it can also be used as a bariatric platform scale by ambulatory patients. Patients with walkers can also be weighed easily or a straight legged chair can be placed on the platform to weigh patients while seated.

• Built-in wheelchair weighing ramp - the weighing platform is tapered at both ends to make it easy to roll patients seated in wheelchairs onto the scale. The platform design makes it easy to load from either side or to form a "roll on, roll off" weighing station.

• Built in handgrip - the scale includes a wide, easy to grip handgrip made from tubular stainless steel to help patients who may be a bit unsteady when standing on the weighing platform.

• Dual mode - the scale switches between pound and kilogram mode at the push of a button on the control module.

• Flexible power - Automatic off.  Runs for thousands of weighings on 6 ‘C’ batteries (included) or optional A/C adapter (not included).

• Portable - while build using sheet steel and aluminum for strength, the unit folds closed and has built in wheels and carry handles on the sides so it can be easily moved by nurses and medical support specialists.

• Warranty - one year limited warranty on all parts and labor. Repair and calibration service available worldwide.
