Scale Overview
The Detecto® Model 6855* is an 600 pound/270 Kg capacity heavy duty
digital electronic platform scale with handrail from one of the world's leading
manufacturers of industrial scales.
Ideal for clinical office or weight loss center use, the Model 6855
features a highly accurate electronic weighing mechanism for years of reliable
measurements. This is a full capability, very high capacity bariatric scale with an 18" x 14" weighing platform, patient stabilizing handrail, built in BMI function and a special hold/tare function to make it easy to weigh patients with mobility assistance devices. Great for schools, clinics or health clubs, this scale is built to industrial specifications for years of reliable use.
The Model 6855 scale's features include:
- Easy to Read - the scale features the Detecto® 750 keypad/display
module with LCD display, ON/OFF and lb/Kg controls. The scale also has a Weigh/Hold,

- Automatic Body Mass Index Function - the scale automatically does all
the BMI calculations for the person being weighed - all you need to do is input their
height.
- High accuracy - the all solid state electronic measuring system is
accurate across the full measuring range. The digital display shows weight in
increments of 0.2 pound or 100 g.
- Large weighing platform - the 18" x 14" weighing platform is
very low profile making it easy for you to step on and off. For applications with
more demanding requirements (over 600 pounds) you may want to consider the Detecto® Model 8656, a similar
performing platform scale with a huge 24" x 24" platform, handrail and 800 pound
weighing capacity.
- Built in handrail - the scale includes a wide, easy to grip handrail
made from tubular stainless steel to help patients who may be a bit unsteady when standing
on the weighing platform.
- Tare/Hold mode - makes it easy to weigh patients with walkers or
mobility aids. Weigh the mobility aid without the patient, press the tare/hold
button function then re-weigh with the patient and mobility aid to automatically get the
patient's weight.
- Dual mode - the scale switches between pound and kilogram mode at the
push of a button on the control module.
- Flexible power - Automatic off. Runs for thousands of weighings
on 6 ‘AA’ batteries (included) or optional A/C adapter (special order item).
- Easy to move - while build using sheet steel and aluminum for strength,
the assembled unit weighs has built in 3" hard rubber wheels. Just tip and roll
it to its new location.
- Warranty - one year limited warranty on all parts and labor. Repair and
calibration service available worldwide.
