The Detecto® Model 8437* is a high accuracy 400 pound/180 Kg capacity digital electronic column scale from the Detecto® family of scales.

The Model 8437 is an accurate and reliable scale with features ideal for use in clinics, hospitals, schools or health clubs. The scale has a large low-profile base, waist high column mounted LCD keyboard display module and an RS-232C serial port for EMR system interface. If you want an identically performing Detecto® scale with a waist high column mounted display and a height measuring rod consider the Model 8430, a column scale with both the display and an integral height measuring rod. If you want a similarly performing Detecto® scale with a cable connected display consider the GP-400-758C, a platform scale with the display attached using a flexible cable.

The Model 8437 scale's features include:

• Easy to read - the scale features the Detecto® 758 keypad/display module with LCD display, On/Off and Lb/Kg controls. The scale also has a Weigh/Hold, function, flexible tare weighing and BMI calculation. The keypad/display module is attached at the top of a 37.5" column for easy waist high viewing. • High accuracy - all solid state electronic measuring system for accurate weighing up to 400 pounds/180 Kg in increments of 0.2 pound/100 g.

• State of the art connectivity - the scale has an RS-232C serial interface port for connection to computer based electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

• Large weighing platform - the 10-1/2" x 14-1/2" weighing platform is covered with a non-slip coating and its low 3-1/2" profile makes it easy to step on and off. Platform cover is easily removed for cleaning.

• Dual mode - the scale switches between pound and kilogram mode at the push of a button on the control module..

• Flexible power - the scale operates on six C batteries (included). Automatic shut off for long battery life. An AC adapter is also available (not included).
